Volunteer Orientation @ Hopalong!
Hopalong offers a variety of ways you can help animals and people. Some of these tasks include: fostering animals, helping at mobile adoptions, office work, transporting animals, cat and kitten care, and more. Hopalong could not run without the generous contributions of its volunteers. Our dedicated volunteers help Hopalong achieve our mission of ending the euthanasia of adoptable pets in Northern California. The first step to becoming a volunteer at Hopalong is to attend a Volunteer Orientation. Come learn more about our organization and how you can help! Remember: To volunteer you must be 18 years old. Hopalong is NOT an animal shelter. Although some of our volunteer opportunites will involve direct contact with animals, we have many positions that involve support in other ways such as marketing, transportation, adoption screening and counseling, etc. Some of these positions can be done at home! There will be a short survey to fill out at the end of the orientation that will help Hopalong match potential volunteers with the tasks best suited to their interests. It is possible, though unlikely, that we won't have a job for you. If this is the case, we will help you find an organization better suited for your interests.
