Physical Computing with Raspberry Pi @ CHS (7th Grade and Older)
SRVEF SUMMER IMAGINEERING PHYSICAL COMPUTING WITH RASPBERRY PI If your students love tinkering, this is the class for them! This class will introduce students to the Raspberry Pi, and the world of possibilities that this device opens up. Students will learn what the Raspberry Pi is, how it operates, and how to program it through the use of sensors and creation of various electronics projects. Students will learn Raspberry Pi fundamentals and basics, starting with the control of LED's, motors and sensors. We will also introduce the students to some of the more advanced applications that become possible with the Raspberry Pi. This class will be a great introduction to physical computing and programming.. This class is developed and taught by Sean Raser, Computer Science Teacher at California High School. CLASS DETAILS Dates: June 18th-22nd, 2018 Time: 9am-12pm Location: California High School - T1 Ages: 7th Grade & Older (based on 2018-19 school year) **Please be mindful when registering for this program. By registering for this Eventbrite Event, you are registering for the series of dates within the event. ---------------------- CANCELATION POLICY: Refunds will be allowed up until 3 weeks before the first day of the class. After this time, no refunds will be granted unless the spot can be filled by another child on the waitlist. Refunds within one week of the start of the course will incur a $25 processing fee. Waitlist will be handled in order until 24 hours before the event. At that time if a spot becomes available, the entire waiting list will be notified at the same time and the first to respond will be offered the spot.
